All EuroRail Resources: Europasses

Europasses

The Europass lets you choose any 5, 6, 8, 10, or 15 days of travel within a 2 month period.

The Europass provides rail travel in five basic countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland.

Additional Zones can be included with the five countries mentioned above. Add 1 or 2 zones to extend your Europass coverage:
Benelux: Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg
Danube: Austria and Hungary
Greece: includes Ferry Adriatica/ Hellenic Mediterranea Lines
(between Brindisi, Italy and Corfu, Igoumenitsa, and Patras, Greece)
Portugal

The Europass is ideal for those who are only traveling in the five basic countries and the additional regions covered by the pass. It is also ideal for those who have planned the number of days they will spend traveling. For example, if you plan to visit 10 cities, you may only spend nine days traveling between the cities, or ten days if you return to your starting city.

There are three varieties of Europasses with different price structures

  • Europass
  • Europass Youth
  • Euro Saverpass
